Directorate of Human Resource Management & Relations
The Director HRM & R is responsible in departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits compensation, organizational development, and employment. The Director is responsible for all or part of these areas; staff logistics; organizational and space planning performance management and improvement systems organizational development compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting employee orientation, development, and training policy development and documentation employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.

Ascertain human resource requirements for various Academic and Non Academic Departments, and ensuring the timely advertisement and filling of vacancy. Provides support, guidance and training to personnel staff as required: Participates in the review of training needs of staff making appropriate proposals to meet identified needs: Represent the University individually or as part of a team in meetings with the State/ Central Government and other agencies, maintaining harmonious relations and linkage with the State Government & Central Government for developmental activities of the University, create strategic development training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of the employees. The Director directly reports to the Vice Chancellor. He perform such other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor.

In addition to the above directorate of HRMR functions as follows:-
  • Identifies need of faculty and no-teaching positions, plans recruitment and compiles recruitment related documents
  • Conducts Job Analysis upon request
  • Identifies Search Committee members with the approval of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor
  • Notifies candidates for the interviews
  • Reviews applications of the candidates and provides oversight of the recruitment process
  • Conducts interviews and recruitments showing good faith efforts to broaden diversity
  • Ensures accurate and complete recruitment and selection guidelines and procedures
  • Provides guidance upon request to the AACL-SC to ensure all aspects of the recruitment process are fair and unbiased and incompliance with Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity laws
  • Provides diversity profile data, availability

Human Resources Information Systems
  • Maintenances, integrity and confidentiality of all employee database records and files
  • Processing all changes to employee records, which impact upon payroll systems
  • Monitoring transaction requests for consistency with University policies and practices as well as employment related legislation
  • Processes all verification requests for active employees
  • Compliance with all external and legal reporting requirements
  • Facilitation of all internal and management reporting needs
  • Supporting the development of all human resources

The Directorates maintains a confidential personnel file for each employee. The Directorate notifies Personal Information of Staff or Faculty Members, when any change occurs in their personal status, such as change of name, address, telephone number, marital status, or emergency contact etc.
The employee file and its contents are the property of the University. University is not obligated to provide copies of the files to the employee. Information on work record or employment history will be provided to faculty members/non-teaching staff on a need-to-know basis. University is required to provide job-related information upon receipt of a summons, warrants, or court orders.
Active employees, who wish to review their own files, can contact Director, HRMR. Once faculty members/non-teaching staff have separated from the University, they will not be permitted to review their file.
