Commerce is one of the oldest subjects being taught at the higher level of education. As a matter of fact, many subjects have their roots or origin in Commerce. When we speak of Commerce, it is generally understood as the study of trading and business. In the traditional education system all theoretical aspects related to business and trade was studied in B.Com. and M.Com. programmes. Due to its over emphasis on theoretical aspects the subject of Commerce began to lose its strive. In the Joseph School of Business Studies we have introduced B.Com. and M.Com. programmes and the courses have been redesigned and made practical-oriented, so that they may be job-friendly and the course content may contain theory as well as the practical aspects of the trade and business. We have designed these programmes after taking into consideration the opinions of practitioners from the corporate world.
